10.00 – 10.15 Introduction to the Workshop
10.15 – 10.45 Social Software and Learning Research has stressed the importance of communication and communities in the use of ICT for learning. Graham Attwell will talk about how social software can be used to develop learning in communities of practice.
10.45 – 11.15 Using ELGG Learning Landscapes Dave Tosh and Ben Werdmuller will demonstrate the use of ELGG for developing e-Portfolios. They will also show how ELGG integrates with the Open Source Moodle learning management system.
11.15 – 11.45 Coffee
11.45 – 13.30 Developing e-Portfolios with ELGG (hands-on) This hands-on session will give those new to ELGG an opportunity to experience the potential of a truly learner-centred tool. We shall walk through setting up your own ELGG environment, explore some of the social networking power and explain how this can integrate with Moodle to create an excellent personal portfolio application.
13.30 – 14.00 Next Steps Wolfgang Greller will introduce a discussion on future support and networking for ELGG and Moodle users.
